The Stunning Groom

By Mary Leave a Comment

The way the groom anticipates seeing his beautiful bride walking down the aisle is the same way she looks forward to seeing a stunning groom waiting to take her hand.

It would be a disappointing sight if the bride reaches the altar only to be received by a shabby looking groom, with bloodshot eyes and don’t forget the stained teeth.

Gone are the days when men were complacent with their appearance. The modern groom is expected to match the standards of the bride.

Some men feel like grooming is a waste of time, but unlike women, enhancing ones appearance does not take a lifetime.

The groom to be has to start grooming early. There is no way you can wake on the wedding day splash some water on your face and spray some perfume and expect to blow the bride away. Three months to the wedding, a focused groom should start getting into shape with a good work-out routine.

At this time the groom to be can join the gym bearing in mind his financial status. If you cannot afford, that is no excuse, you can jog, skip rope or aerobics in the comfort of your home. Regular exercises will not only help you get into shape but will improve your blood circulation and help your body to relax.

Eating a balanced diet is advised. On the wedding day, don’t forget to have a bite. The last thing a bride wants to see is a groom fainting because he is overwhelmed after days and night of planning.

Eating fruits and vegetables will help the skin heal naturally.

For our grooms who take one for the road, as the wedding draws near, drink moderately or even better, stop. Alcohol might destabilize your system causing excitement. Three months to the wedding, a groom has many decisions to make so having a sober mind is important. Alcohol also dehydrates your body leaving your eyes bloodshot. I don’t want to imagine how disappointed the bride will be looking into those eyes.

A nice smile from the bride and groom always brightens the room. But think about the teeth of our brothers who smoke. Cigarettes are bad for your skin and teeth. For the sake of your big day and your own health, stop smoking. After all, no one had died because they quit smoking.

In case your teeth are any other colour that is not white, then you should visit your dentist who will advise you on products that will help with whitening. Eating fruits like strawberries that contain malic acid found in some toothpaste can help. Another remedy at home is baking soda. Baking soda is an acid neutralizer that gently removes stains and buildup from the enamel. You simply sprinkle a bit on your paste each day and you will get a dazzling smile with time.

The groom to be has to deal with the not so pleasant bumps that show up after shaving. Ensure that the salon you go to has sterilized machines. For lotions and facial cream’s a skin test is important because then you will buy products that are made for your skin type. Personal hygiene is very important. Shave the pits to lessen the chances of bad odour.

On the wedding say, make sure you go to the salon, have a fresh haircut, and trim your beard and eyebrows. They will also do some magic on your skin to enhance your appearance. Use mild perfume if your bride is sensitive to the strong ones.
